Be Mindful During the Holidays

This post is perhaps later than it should be, but be mindful during the holidays. The idea that suicidal thoughts and actions increase during these times are based in fact. If you know anyone that suffers from PTSD, depression, or any other mental illnesses reach out to them. If you know someone with no history of these things but are still having a hard time, reach out to them. Just let them know someone is thinking of them, even in the most basic of ways.

Also be mindful of yourself. If you start having a hard time reach out. Reach out to family, to friends, to mental health professionals, someone. It is a dark side to this season but one we need to be aware of and consider. Be safe, know you are loved, and be aware.
