Food Journal: 10/2-10/6

So I have clearly been neglecting this. I’ve been having a rough go of it. I made the decision to take cutting back on drinking more seriously. I can’t say that it’s the cause of all my problems but I can say that it’s been the cause of/had a negative impact on many of them, especially when it comes to my health. I am far too likely to drink heavily, then proceed to get off course with weight loss, then get upset, then drink more, lather, rinse, repeat. I don’t think this is a lifelong change, only something I need to focus on now. We’ll see how that goes, and how much of an impact it makes on my ability to stay on the weight loss path.

My other major problem is something that I struggle with controlling. I am not sleeping well, at all. I am having difficulties sleeping while Ben is at work which throws off my schedule entirely. This is going to take some more time and effort to work out.

Monday 10/2:

Breakfast: Homemade breakfast tacos. I should have had just one. Cutting back on my portions is a major thing I need to work on.
Lunch: Chicken and tots (terrible)
Dinner: Shrimp fajita with black beans, milk
Snacks: Banana, Arnold Palmer (I use unsweet tea and a bit of lemonade)
Indulgences: Redbull… still. I hate using excuses but it’s very hard to cut back on your major form of caffeine in the middle of only getting a few hours of sleep each night. A piece of dark chocolate. Sunflower seeds

Tuesday 10/3:

Breakfast: Bagel with cream cheese
Lunch: Leftover shrimp and black beans with a bit of guacamole and small tortilla, milk
Dinner: Sandwich and a few chips, Arnold Palmer
Indulgences: Redbull *sigh* sunflower seeds

Wednesday 10/4:

Breakfast: Half a bagel, milk
Lunch: None (bad)
Dinner: Salmon and asparagus, milk
Snacks: Banana
Indulgences: Redbull, sunflower seeds, a few acai and blueberry dark chocolates

Thursday 10/5:

Off day. Not sleeping is starting to really kick my ass

Friday 10/6:

Breakfast: Scrambled eggs with leftover salmon, milk
Lunch: Meat and cheese slices, almonds
Dinner: Homemade beef and broccoli (gross) and homemade veggie fried rice (great). Egg roll
Snacks: Almonds, grapes, cheese
Indulgences: You already know
