Food Journal: 4/9- 4/13


Last week was not the best for getting back on my eating better/keeping food journal track. However, as I said I wanted to get it started. I need to stop waiting for a “perfect” week to start on and just need to go when I can. It will take baby steps, I will mess up and have days when I overindulge. The only thing I can do is attempt to constantly be improving, but if I am not even starting then that will never happen.

I need to focus on doing better at the gym. Given I this week is my cycle that might be a bit of a challenge. However, I am going to try to go at least a few times. I want to be more consistent in how often I go, so again, start somewhere. I also want to improve on doing more active things just on a regular basis. To that end, I am hoping to add some dog walks and more working on my yard into the mix. Food wise as always, eat better things, snack on healthier snacks, work on not drinking my calories. I also need to make big strides in the sodium department.

Monday 4/9

Breakfast: Green chili cheese fries. Believe me, I know how horrible this is, even worse since it was for breakfast. I am blaming my period and will not apologize
Lunch: none
Dinner: Chicken in gravy sauce, rice, peas
Indulgences: Redbull, chocolate ice cream

Tuesday 4/10

Breakfast: Scrambled eggs, cheese, on sourdough bread, milk
Lunch: Leftover green chili cheese fries (yes I know again), milk
Dinner: Blue Apron: Miso Sweet Potato Donburi with cabbage slaw and black garlic mayo
Snacks: Triscuits
Indulgences: Redbull

Wednesday 4/11

Breakfast: Sausage patty on English muffin with some cheese. Hashbrown on the side
Lunch: Breakfast was super late and dinner ended up being super early
Dinner: Blue Apron: Spicy Fusilli Pasta and Broccoli
Snacks: Coffee, Triscuits and cheese, orange juice and cranberry juice mix
Indulgences: Redbull, one chocolate egg

Thursday 4/12

Breakfast: Sausage patty on English muffin with cheese. Hashbrown on the side
Lunch: Same as yesterday super late breakfast so skipped lunch
Dinner: Blue Apron: Roast Pork & Cumin Sauce with vegetable fried rice
Snacks: Triscuits and cheese, coffee, milk
Indulgences: Redbull

Friday 4/13

Friday is going to end up being my cheat day for the week (normally Saturday)

The Redbull thing didn’t go well again. My sleep schedule is still pretty off. I am thinking of reworking my schedule and going back to later streams. With how difficult it is for me to fall asleep at night the number of mornings where I don’t wake up in time to go to the gym or don’t have the energy when I first wake up is far too frequent. It wasn’t my best week but there was some improvement. I need to do much better, however.
